"Currently we have only eight houses but the thing is that we planned to create at least four ethnographic villages – Russian, Tatar, Mordovinian and Chuvash ones," deputy chairman of the Penza region government Oleg Yagov explained to governor Ivan Belozertsev during the site visit on Monday, April 9.
According to Oleg Yagov, there will be 20 houses altogether, some of which remained after the conduct of the all-Russian Sabantuy.
He also suggested making a cycling and rolling track, which in winter would turn into a ski track, in the park.
In turn, Ivan Belozertsev noted that some buildings are planned to be leased or given for concession for placement of small cafes, selling coffee and ice cream as well as for shops.
"In order to ensure their work in winter it is necessary to bring service lines, lighting and heating to the houses," the region head noted.
When discussing the idea of establishing the ethnographic park head of Penza administration Victor Kuvaytsev emphasized that pine trees would not be affected as another area – that with birch trees under threat of collapse – will be cleared.
"Businesses may use these plots of land, they may make profit but the land still belongs to the municipality," he said.
