Penza, 9 December 2018. PenzaNews. The base of the monument to Vladimir Lenin in the centre of Penza, which sagged and deformed over the years, is planned to be repaired. This was reported by head of the city administration Viktor Kuvaytsev.

"Major repairs significantly transformed Lenin square, which is noted by residents of the city, but the monument remained in the same condition," he said after inspecting the monument on Sunday morning, December 9.

The mayor specified that the necessity to repair it had been voiced earlier.

"We need to return to this issue and, above all, to restore the granite base," the press service of the City Hall quotes Victor Kuvaytsev.
