Penza, 7 May 2019. PenzaNews. The annual summer festival Music for City Streets started in Penza on Tuesday, May 7.

The first event was held in Denisa Davydova public garden in Moskovskaya Street.

The festival was opened by a municipal brass band under the direction of honoured worker of culture of Russia Anatoly Naberezhny.

In the run-up to the Victory Day the musicians performed military music.

After that, professional musicians gave way to young talents.

The street concert was continued by the performance of the folk ensemble Vesnushka of the children's art school Kvinta, which presented the Russian folk song "Once upon a time on the river".

It is planned that the music will also be played in the city centre on Wednesday, May 8.
