Penza, 19 July 2020. PenzaNews. More than 20 instruments of torture and execution, recreated by employees of the St. Petersburg creative workshop Sampo, are presented at the History of Pain exhibition in the Savitsky Art Gallery in Penza.

“A large part of the exhibition is made up of European medieval instruments of torture, and the East, in particular Asia, is also paid attention to. Reproductions of paintings of the corresponding epoch complement the emotional palette of the exhibition, as they are mostly painted by contemporaries and eyewitnesses,” the project description on the gallery's website says.

It specifies that almost every exhibit can be touched and operated.

It is expected that the History of Pain interactive exhibition will run in Penza until early October.
