Penza, 8 June 2011. PenzaNews. The number of small business was grown up to 1.8 times in the Penza region for the last 4 years, and by January, 2011 there were 14.1 thousand units taking into account the micro business. From January, 1st till December, 31st, 2010, 9766 small businesses were registered, that was 2.8 % more than that in the corresponding period of 2009.

According to the Department of the Economy of the Penza region, the circulation of the small business was 48.4 billion rubles regarding the results of 9 months of 2010. In January – September, 2010 small business spent 5.4 billion rubles of investments for the fixed capital. The relative density of the investments of the small business in total amount of investments was 19.8 % in the region.

The quantity of the medium business regarding the results of 9 months of 2010 was 215 companies. Total number of agricultural consumer's was 1428 units on January, 1st, 2011.

In 2011 the region government increased the volumes of the state support in the limits of the purpose-oriented program "The development and the support of the small and medium business in the Penza region in 2009-2014" at the expense of the budget of the region up to 216.7 million rubles.

91.7 million rubles is planned to allocate from the regional budget for the grant support.

In 2011 it is planned to create 2.5 thousand small businesses.
