The sheep of edilbaevsky’s breed were delivered from Astrakhan to the Penza region by peasant farm of the village Russian Norka of the Shemyshejsky district of the Penza region. Now 1-year-old young ewes of the meat breed are quarantined and will be let out on a pasture soon.

According to the newspaper "The Novoye Vremya", edilbaevsky’s breed would be considered to be steady against various infectious diseases and unpretentious. Animals handed down to posterity the economic-useful signs successfully, in case of line breeding and in case of crossbreeding with other fat-tail sheep.

The sheep of edilbaevsky’s breed can compete in early ripeness and meat efficiency with the early ripeness English factory sheep meat-wool breeds.
