Penza, 12 July 2011. PenzaNews. More than 2.1 billion roubles was spent for social support of citizens of the Penza region during the first half of 2011 and it's 391.5 million roubles more than for the similar period of 2010.

The press-service of the government of the Penza region said: "Financial assets were directed on payment of grants for the families which have children, social support to veterans of labour, war workers, the rehabilitated persons and the persons recognized suffered from political repressions, granting of measures of social support on payment of habitation and utilities for the citizens included in the federal register of persons entitled to benefits".

65 % from of the sum or 1.3 billion rubles were allocated from the budget of the Penza region.

The source in the press-service informed: "The increase of financing allowed to fulfill all social obligations of the state".
