154 thousand hectares of crops grain were threshed in the Penza region

Penza, 2 August 2011. PenzaNews. Farms of the Penza region threshed 54 thousand hectares of crops grain by the end of July.

The press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Penza region said: "79 thousand tons of grain is threshed. Average productivity is 14.7 centners from hectare. Fields of Luninsky area gave 24.8 centners from hectare, Bessonovsky — 21.6 centners and Mokshansky — 19.1 centners. These areas became the most fruitful ones."

The source in the department said: "The regional government made the decision "About regional competition in agriculture branches in 2011". Winners will get diplomas and monetary awards".
