Penza, 18 August 2011. PenzaNews. The agreement on interaction in sphere of development of uniform information field on the territory of the Penza region was signed by governor Vasily Bochkarev and the vice-president of OJSC "Rostelekom" – the director of macroregional branch "Volga" Dmitry Proskura on Thursday, August, 18th.

It is planned that within the limits of the agreement till the end of this quarter more than 1.5 thousand the subscribers living in rural settlements of region will be provided with the Internet.

Dmitry Proskura said: "Besides, we intend to create the separate tariff plan for business as in region development of small and mid-size business is on the first place. During the current year it is planned to put 160 km of cable".

During the meeting the ways of development of cooperation between the government of the Penza region and OJSC "Rostelekom" were discussed, first of all this cooperation should be in realizations of programs "Information society" and "Electronic government". Special attention was given to liquidation "digital inequality" between the city and countryside.
