Penza, 16 September 2011. PenzaNews. Automated control system of payment by means of contactless microprocessor plastic cards will be introduced in public transport of Penza since October, 1st.

According to the press-service of city administration, there will be two kinds of plastic cards: a transport card for residents of Penza and a privileged transport card. Primary registration of privileged transport card will be free of charge.

"It will be possible to recharge it in the offices Mail of Russia and in the offices of bank "Kuznetsky". There are already 70 posts in the city where people can recharge cards".

Plastic cards will be personified. There will be a surname, a name and a patronymic of the person, and also the number of the document certifying the right for preferential journey.

The press-service said: "Similar systems of payment for journey in public transport works successfully in a number of Russian cities, such as Ivanovo, Chuvashia and Ekaterinburg. It is planned that after introduction of automatic system of payments public transport, then it will be introduced in line taxis and then it will be used in all towns of the Penza region".
