Penza, 19 September 2011. PenzaNews. The industrial production index of enterprises of the Penza region in January — August, 2011 is 117.1%. Russia average index is 105.4%. The region takes the first place on this indicator in Volga federal district.

According to the department of industry, transport and power, the volume of goods, works and services of local manufacturers was 66.4 billion roubles for 8 months of 2011 or 116.3% by corresponding period of the previous year.

From the beginning of the year 27 252.7 million roubles were invested in development of economy and social sphere of the Penza region. Investments in fixed capital increased by 24.5%.

For July, 2011 average nominal salary of large, mid-size and small organizations of the Penza region is 16 759 rubles. In comparison with July, 2010 it increased by 14.7%, in comparison with June, 2011 — by 0.2%.
