Penza, 17 October 2011. PenzaNews. Discussion of the draft law "About the budget of the Penza region for 2012 and for the planned period of 2013 and 2014" started on Monday, October, 17th.

According to Marina Timohina, the head of the press-service of Legislative Assembly of the region, during the week public hearings will be held in the correspondence form in the form of open discussion of the document published on an official site of regional parliament.

She said: "On October, 26th the discussion will be organized in the form of joint attendance".

She added that public hearings will be held twice a year. There will be hearings concerning the project of the budget of the Penza region for the next fiscal year and the planned period, and also concerning the project of the annual report on budget execution.

Marina Timohina said: "Open discussion gives an opportunity to the public to take part in distribution of regional funds and control the public authorities".
