Penza, 20 October 2011. PenzaNews. Representatives of one of the Italian companies initiated building in the Penza region a unique for Russia cattle-breeding complex. They declared about during a meeting with the governor Vasily Bochkarev which took place as a part the visit of the head of region to Lombardy.

During the meeting with Penza journalists on Thursday, October, 20th Vasily Bochkarev said: "According to the Italian cattle breeders, all farms in Russia are constructed incorrectly. The problem is that they are count only on acquisition of highly productive import cattle. The selection work in available cattle-breeding complexes is impossible".

The governor said that the Russian farms simply do not provide possibility to grow heifer and bull-calves without special premises and equipment.

Vasily Bochkarev said: "Now even large dairy complexes sell import highly productive young cattle to the population, and could repair the herd and sell heifer at much higher price".

According to the head of region, Italians guarantee cows 40 to 44 liters a day at their farms.
