Penza, 23 January 2012. PenzaNews. Productivity of grain in the Penza region in 2012 should be from 25 to 30 centners per hectare. It was declared by vice-chairman of the government, Minister of Agriculture of the region Marat Faizov during the press conference on Monday, January 23. “In 2011 productivity of grain and leguminous cultures in economy of all categories was 16.1 centners from hectare. Sugar beet productivity was 348.9, sunflower — 13.8, potato — 142, vegetables — 158 centners per hectare,” he informed.

Marat Faizov noticed that milk production was about 485 thousand tons that is 4 % more than in 2010, and meat production is about 170 thousand tons, that is 7.5 % more in comparison with the previous year.

“As a whole following the results of 2011 we expect to get receive 50 billion roubles volume of production of agriculture or 155 % to previous year level,” the minister said.
