Penza, 14 February 2012. PenzaNews. Business incubator of mixed office-industrial type for glass industry enterprises was opened in Nikolsk of the Penza region on Tuesday, February 14.

During solemn ceremony the head of the region Vasily Bochkarev admitted that this business incubator should become an infrastructural basis for glass industry.

Besides, the governor thanked businessmen who not only create new workplaces and form taxable base, but also keep Nikolsk traditions of glass and crystal good manufacturing.

According to the press-service of the Government of the Penza region, a building in which the business incubator has settled down, was constructed on boundary of XVIII–XIX centuries. It was an apartment house of Bahmetev-Obolensky and was in critical condition by time of repairing work beginning.

“The governor considered that we are to keep it as a monument historical and cultural heritage and to place there glass manufacturing enterprises. About 60 million rubles were spent for reconstruction works,” the press-service informed.

As it was reported earlier, regional monument of history and culture, house of Bahmetevy-Obolensky, belonging to factory “Red Giant” was redeemed by the government of the Penza region at auction in the end of February, 2010.

Re-equipment of Bahmetevyh-Obolensky’s manor for a business incubator began in July, 2011.
