Penza, 21 May 2012. PenzaNews. The index of industrial production for January–April, 2012 totaled 110.3%, in comparison with the similar period of the previous year in the Penza region.

Extraction of minerals as a whole decreased by 7.2%, foodstuff manufacturing grew by 18.6%, rubber and plastic products — by 21.9%, fabricated metal products — by 34.3%, machinery and equipment — by 22.2%.

At the same time processing of wood and wooden products, leather goods and footwear manufacturing and electric equipment production reduced.

Agriculture products output in April, 2012 reached 7 316 million rubles that is 13.3% more than for the similar period of the previous year.

The amount of construction works totaled 5 037 million rubles and grew by 10.5% this year. 97.7 thousand square meters of total area of houses have been constructed.

Retail trade turnover exceeded 42 351 million rubles, which is 4% higher than in the same period of the previous year.

The cost of minimum food multipack was 2 197 rubles 39 kopecks at the end of April.

Money income per capita amounted to 15 644 rubles, consumer spending — 10 391 rubles. Average monthly nominal wage amounted to 17 591 rubles.
