Penza, 23 May 2012. PenzaNews. The governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev criticized inactivity of the heads of local banks in lending small and mid-size business. “Penza banks do not promote their products. You sit and wait when somebody comes,” the head of the region declared during the working meeting with the heads of financial credit institutions concerning investments attraction in the Penza region on Wednesday, May 23.

“At the same time you gave a large quantity of money for risky unreal projects. We are not experts but we know that there is no use to finance them. And in case the project is alive, there are lots of problems with it. You have no patriotism. Your security services lobby only peculiar,” added Vasily Bochkarev.

According to the governor, many Penza businessmen prefer to loan in the neighbor regions, because it is easier to do in Saratov and Samara.

“Again elected president set a task to increase investments into business development but banks work disgustingly. It seems to me that you were sent to the Penza region to ruin its economy,” declared the head of the region.

Vasily Bochkarev ordered to hold a meeting with representatives of financial credit institutions and business and organize presentation of credit products for businessmen and representatives of mass media in all banks.
