The Minister of Agriculture noted, however, that this year was not favorable for winter crops. “This kind of years comes to be once in 30 years. For example, in 1975 the meadow moth caused serious damage to winter crops, and this year productivity will be affected by high temperature of May and pests such as stem and the Gnessin flies and others. Farmers could not manage protecting crops in time,” clarified Ivan Firyulin.

According to the Minister’s words, all in all gross harvest of grain crops this year will not be worse than in the previous one.
