Commenting on the information received from a journalist of the “Favorite Newspaper” about the probable use of banned pesticide by agricultural producers from China in the fields of the Penza region, Ivan Firyulin noted that these facts should be investigated.

“We certainly need to keep an eye on what pesticides and fertilizers are used by foreign farmers in our country, since the use of illicit substances in Russia is a crime,” commented the Minister of Agriculture of the region. “As they say, innocent till proven guilty, so I will give instructions to investigate and find out within the following week if there are such precedents in the Penza region or it is just a rumor,” concluded Ivan Firyulin.
