Penza, 12 July 2012. PenzaNews. Production of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight in the Penza region increased by 20.2% during the first half of 2012 in comparison with the similar period of last year; milk – by 1.2%, eggs – by 12.8%.

According to Penzastat, for the first six months of 2012, the production of agricultural products at current prices in all categories of farms amounted to12 billion 840.2 million rubles which is 10.7% more than for the similar period of last year. It should be noted that agricultural organizations produce 54.5% of agricultural production.

“The index of industrial production of the full range of producer organizations in the Penza region for January–June, 2012 amounted to 110, 5%,” said Penzastat.
