Penza, 15 August 2012. PenzaNews. The industrial production index in the Penza region for the 7 months of 2012 amounted to 110.6%.

“The greatest growth took place in pulp and paper production, publishing and printing activities. In the period from January to July it increased by 15.7%,” informed the press service of the regional department of industry, transport and energy.

According to the press service, volume of output in the field of machinery and equipment increased by 15,1%, of manufacturing industry – by 12,7%, production of food and drinks – by 11,6%.

As reported by news agency “PenzaNews,” the Penza region was ranked second in terms of industrial production index growth in the Volga Federal District in the first half of 2012.
