Moscow hosted presentation of investment opportunities of Penza region

Penza, 17 September 2012. PenzaNews. Meeting of the regional public organization “Penza community in Moscow” dedicated to the investment attractiveness of the region and prospects for profitable investments to the real sector of the economy was held at the Representative office of the government of the Penza region affiliated to the Government of the Russian Federation.

Chief executives of major banks and investment companies, as well as strategic investors in manufacturing, food processing and construction were invited to particiate in the event.

“Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investment Development and Business of the Penza region Vladimir Volkov made a presentation of investment and economic potential of the region. The represented regional projects included: the construction of brick factories, plant for the production of enriched quartz (glass) sand, crushing and screening plant for the production of crushed stone, sand processing plants for color sand and mineral pigments production, and diversified plant for glauconite extraction and refinement,” the press service of the Representative office told news agency “PenzaNews.”

Special attention was paid to the investment proposals in the area of agriculture and food industry, including the cultivation and processing of non-narcotic hemp, pond fish production, construction of an oil extraction plant and a plant for the production of sugar, as well as reconstruction of the plant for the production of concentrate for baby food and juices.

“The large-scale projects of the regional center were presented in a separate block. These projects included reconstruction of Penza airport and the Sura embankment, as well as construction of hotel complexes and logistics center of A class,” the press service explained.
