During the visit the Director General of “Damate” Rimantas Matskevichyus informed the Minister that the grounds are completed, and the first slaughter is planned on around December 15.
“We do our best to minimize the number of people involved in direct contact with poultry. Turkey poults will be staying here for 42 days, and then they are sent to fattening. The next year we should reach production volume of 15 thousand tons a year. We possess everything we need to accomplish this task — advanced equipment from leading European and Canadian producers,” Rimantas Matskevichyus pointed out.
