Penza, 8 October 2012. PenzaNews. The gross regional product of the Penza region will exceed 300 billion rubles by 2015. This was announced by the Minister of Economy Fedor Barmin, when presenting the basic parameters of socio-economic development for 2013 and the planning period of 2014 and 2015 at a meeting of the regional government on Monday, October 8.

“We plan that in 2015 the gross regional product will be 302,8 billion, growing over the period of 2010 by 45% at comparable prices. The leading sectors that provide the bulk of the GRP in the Penza region are industry, agriculture, construction, transport, communications and trade, which account for about 70% of the produced GRP,” Fyodor Barmin said.

He also explained that by 2015, through the implementation of the activities of the national project “Affordable Housing” and participation of the region in the programs for the construction, it is planned to put into operation 980 thousand square meters of housing per year.

According to the minister, in the long term in the Penza region he expects the reduction of the poor.

“Positive dynamics in a number of indices will contribute to a gradual reduction of population with income below the poverty level — up to 15% in 2015 against 15,6% in 2011. In 2012, due to low inflation and salary increase in the public sector, we expect to register the increase of actual salary by 7,5-8%,” Fyodor Barmin noted.
