Penza, 9 October 2012. PenzaNews. The Russian dairy company is finishing forage for their own cattle.

According to the Deputy Director of Public Relations of “Rusmolko” Elena Firsova, today they have 49 thousand tons of silage, which is 90% of the plan.

“As of Tuesday, October 9, we harvested 500 hectares of corn for grain. Laying-in of all kinds of forage continues in accordance with the schedule. Our specialists say, the average yield enables to make sufficient stock for our own cattle,” said the agency interlocutor.

Elena Firsova added that the final stage of sugar beet harvesting is on — 818 hectares are done, which is 70% of the plan.

“The farms of “Rusmolko” have begun harvesting sunflowers. At the end of the first harvest, 140 hectares of sunflower yield gave 23 centner/ha,” she noted.
