In his opening word, the Manager of Penza branch of OJSC Nordea Bank Alexander Matrunetsky noted that the result of the last meeting with realtors in April 2012, where the problem of mortgage lending in the region was discussed, were significant changes in the work of the bank.

“Credit conditions have become more flexible and convenient for customers. We have learned to respond more quickly to changes in the real estate market,” he said.

Alexander Matrunetsky added that to get a mortgage in Nordea Bank one needs now only three documents — passport, work record and wage certificate. According to him, it allowed the customers to significantly simplify the procedure of obtaining a mortgage in the bank.

Speaking about the current situation in the housing market, the representative of real estate agency “Alliance” Igor Dudkin noted that for a few months they observe “paradox situation in the region.”

“The demand for housing in the Penza region has fallen down. However, the cost of a square meter in the last six months has increased by 5-7%,” the realtor underlined, adding that this triggered the growth of cost in the secondary market.

Summarizing the results of the round table, Alexander Matrunetsky noted that such meetings help representatives of banks and realtors to objectively assess the situation in the housing market and to predict its trends with high accuracy.
