Penza, 27 November 2012. PenzaNews. Agriculture compared to other sectors of the economy has a greater need in insurance protection. This opinion was expressed by the Minister of Agriculture of the Penza region Ivan Firyulin during a press conference on Tuesday, November 27.

“In adverse weather conditions, many representatives of business, ignoring insurance, bear substantial losses that are difficult to compensate, even with better yields in the coming years,” he explained.

Ivan Firyulin stressed that the board of any agricultural enterprise should build their manufacturing processes in the way to have minimum dependence on natural phenomena.

“Several companies in Belinsky area, who kept all the technology in crop yields got 30–40 quintals per hectare in winter crops, while in the region the index is only 14 quintals per hectare,” the Minister noted.
