Penza, 27 November 2012. PenzaNews. Agricultural development is impossible without state support and private investors. This opinion was expressed by the Minister of Agriculture of the Penza region Ivan Firyulin during a press conference on Tuesday, November 27.

“Modern businessmen began to understand that without investing in the development of enterprises it is impossible to achieve high productivity and production of large amounts of product,” he pointed.

Ivan Firyulin stressed that in the Penza region the greatest agricultural investors are large enterprises.

“In 2012 company “Damate” has invested 4,5 billion rubles, dairy plant “Penzensky” — 700 million rubles, poultry plant “Vasilevskaya” spent 3,5 billion rubles to put in operation two new grounds,” the minister specified.

Ivan Firyulin also added that in recent years the government has also paid close attention to the development of agriculture.

“In 2012, to support crop and animal agriculture in the Penza region they allocated about 3 billion rubles — two-thirds from the federal budget and one third from the regional one,” he explained.
