Bekovo, 21 December 2012. PenzaNews. Agricultural enterprises of Bekovsky area, the Penza region completed harvesting corn for seeds, the total sown area of which amounted to 999 hectares in 2012.

According to the area administration, the total output of grain reached 4,698 thousand tons, the average yield amounted to 47 tons per hectare.

“The highest yield — 52,5 tons per hectare from a total sown area of 445 hectares — were harvested by LLC “Vertunovskoe,” the administration explained in an interview with news agency “PenzaNews.”
