Penza region is among five regions with reduced unemployment rate

Penza, 10 January 2013. PenzaNews. Penza Region is among five regions of Russia, where unemployment rate has reduced. According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, from November 28 to December 26, 2012 unemployment rate also declined in Adygea, Tatarstan, Chechnya, and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. In the Saratov region, the rate has not changed.

“Throughout the country, in December, the number of unemployed people registered with the Employment Service, has grown by 4,17% or 41,9 thousand people, which can be explained by seasonal factors,” the press service of the Ministry of Labor reported in an interview with news agency “PenzaNews.”
The ministry noted that the maximum increase of unemployment occurred in the Jewish Autonomous Region, Magadan, Astrakhan, Sakhalin, Volgograd, North Ossetia, and Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.
According to the department of labor, employment and labor migration of the Penza region, during 2012, 81,5 thousand people turned to the employment services of the region, including 41,5 thousand people in search of work, 32 thousand people found a job, 28,1 thousand people received social benefits.
As of January 1, 2013 the Employment Service of the Penza region declared 10,8 thousand job vacancies, including 8,3 thousand jobs requiring working skills. The labor market pressure was 0,7 people per vacant position.
