Vladimir Volkov: Regions are to compete for investors

Penza, 10 January 2013. PenzaNews. The Penza region has to compete with the neighboring regions of the Volga Federal District, in order to attract major investors. This was announced by the minister of investment and business development of the region Vladimir Volkov at a meeting on the problems and prospects of development of villages held in the government of the Penza region on Thursday, January 10.

“Despite the tough competition, today the region is among the leaders in the Volga Federal District in investment attraction,” he said.
Vladimir Volkov underlined that in order to increase the investment attractiveness of the municipalities of the Penza region, they must also be competing with each other.
“The authorities of each district must participate in the development of sites that might be of any interest to potential investors, and explain to them the benefits of taking loans for business development, because this means new jobs and increase of taxable sources,” the minister concluded.
