Penza, 11 January 2013. PenzaNews. In 2012 the foreign trade turnover of the Penza region reached 400,204 thousand dollars, which is 56% more than the last year.

According to the press service, the exports of Ulyanovsk customs, which includes Penza regional customs, amounted to 182,4 million dollars, imports — about 217,7 million dollars.

“Trade with foreign countries has provided 79,89% of the value of foreign trade, including 77,94% of total exports and 81,53% of imports,” the press service specified.

The ministry noted that the foreign countries were supplied with wooden furniture, plywood, medicines, and various equipment, the CIS countries imported machinery and mechanical appliances, ferrous metal products, food and matches.

“The imports from non-CIS include equipment, electronic and mechanical devices, complex appliances, medicines, and from CIS countries — machinery and mechanical appliances, agricultural machinery and its spare parts,” the press service added.
