Thermal power plant working on wood-waste to be built in Penza

Penza, 29 January 2013. PenzaNews. Construction of thermal power plant, working on wood-waste, became the main topic of the meeting of the governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev and the president of Austrian company “Polytechnik Luft-und Feuerungstechnik GmbH” Leo Schirnhofer held on Monday, January 28.

Vasily Bochkarev pointed that the Penza region has a large felling area, undeveloped by the local entrepreneurs.

“This project will help to solve the problem of inefficient wood, and create new jobs,” he said.

The press service of the regional government told news agency PenzaNews that within the project of building a thermal power plant in the Penza region, they also plan to develop the wood, as well as remove unserviceable forest, and plant the young trees instead.

The company “Polytechnik Luft-und Feuerungstechnik GmbH” is one of the leading manufacturers of air exchange, boiler and combustion equipment.

It has branches in 22 countries.

The company use solar energy, waste wood, grass, and other types of biomass, including sunflower husk, grain, sawdust, corn cereal, bark, fines and dust, horse manure.
