Penza, 29 January 2013. PenzaNews. Grain elevator holding up to 100 thousand tons of grain will be put in operation in Kamenksky area, the Penza region by the end of 2013. This was announced by the chairman of the board of directors of OJSC “Cherkizovo-Group” Igor Babaev during a visit to the region on Tuesday, January 29. “Construction of the facility has been on for two years, and it is partially operating. According to the plan, the elevator as a whole will be commissioned in a few months,” he clarified.

Igor Babaev said that the cost of the construction totals approximately 500 million rubles.
“Construction of a modern grain elevator is conditioned by a need to store self-produced fodder for poultry and pigs,” the founder of “Cherkizovo Group” commented.
Igor Babaev also noted that the company owns 100 thousand hectares of Penza land used for growing fodder.
