Sberbank to cease operations with American Express traveler’s checks in Penza from March 1

Penza, 1 February 2013. PenzaNews. Sberbank of Russia will cease operations with American Express traveler’s checks in all structural units of the institution, including those located in the Penza region, from March 1, 2013.

“In particular, individuals will not be able to sell, purchase, or issue American Express traveler’s checks in exchange of inherited ones, as well as ask for compensation in case of loss,” the press service of the bank reported to news agency “PenzaNews.”

“In case of any questions, the customers are advised contacting American Express Company directly,” the press service of Sberbank pointed out.
