Penza, 1 February 2013. PenzaNews. The branch of JSC Interregional Distribution Power Company of Volga — “Penzaenergo” began functioning as a supplier of electricity in the Penza region on Friday, February 1.

“The company has acquired the right and obligation to purchase electricity in the wholesale market and selling it in the retail market. In addition, the organization is now contracting for supply and sale of electricity with individuals and legal entities in the area of the supplier,” the head of PR of “Penzaenergo” Vladimir Golutvin commented to news agency “PenzaNews.”

He noted that in a very short time, the company specialists set up marketing departments, including fully-fledged employment and IT-infrastructure.

“Over 590 employees of the company, which lost the provider status, have been employed by “Penzaenergo” on the same agreement terms,” the agency interlocutor specified.

According to Vladimir Golutvin, the company began verifying registration data, sending notifications, and renewing the contracts.

“We are informing all users about the change of the supplier and payment details,” the agency interlocutor said.

“Electricity rates and contract terms remain the same,” Vladimir Golutvin underlined.

The branch of JSC Interregional Distribution Power Company of Volga — “Penzaenergo” performs power retailing functions in the Penza region as of February 1, 2013 in accordance with the decision of the supervisory board of the nonprofit partnership “Sovet Rynka”(Market Council), the order of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, and by the order of the Russian government on cancellation of a wholesale market and a supplier of improper power retail companies, and empowering regional power companies.
