Penza, 19 February 2013. PenzaNews. Around 20 thousand rose seedlings are planned to be planted on 1,5 hectares in a greenhouse in Narovchat, the Penza region in the nearest future. This was announced by the manager of the greenhouse Veniamin Mukashev.
He said that three varieties of classic red rose are projected for cultivation.
“First we plant the roses in the trays, then plant them out to their permanent place. First flowers will appear only in the second half of April,” he clarified.
Veniamin Mukashev noted that the plants in the greenhouse are cultivated using Dutch technology — hydroponics, drip irrigation, and electronic climate control.
Currently 46 people are engaged in the production process.
It is expected that in the future the company will create new jobs, reported the newspaper “Narovchat news”.
