Volume of grain decreased by 40% in Penza region during one year

As of February 1, 2013, the volume of grain, which is available in the agricultural, harvesting and processing organizations of the Penza region, is almost 40% lower than a year ago. This was reported by the press service of the Federal State Statistics Service to news agency “PenzaNews.”
“At present, grain stocks in the region amount to 312,3 thousand tons, 120,3 thousand tons of which are in agricultural organizations and 192 thousand tons — in harvesting and processing plants,” the Federal State Statistics Service specified.
“The volume of grain stored in the beginning of this month in the agricultural, harvesting and processing organizations of the Penza region makes 60,1% compared with the data of February 1, 2012,” the Statistics Service added.
The department noted that the amount of grain decreased by 29,5% in Russia as a whole during one year.
