Officials of Penza bakeries No. 2 and No. 4 fined for unjustified price increase

Penza, 28 February 2013. PenzaNews. Administrative fines were imposed on officials of Penza bakeries No. 2 and No. 4 in the amount of 15 thousand rubles each by the regional department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia on two cases of administrative offense under Part 1, Art. 14.31 of the Administrative Code “Abuse of a dominant position in the market.”

“It was established that the increase of wholesale prices for bread and bakery products with an insignificant increase of the production price was based on profit increase,” the head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia in the Penza region Maksim Beloborodov told news agency “PenzaNews.”

He added that the actions of these companies were found to be abusing their dominant position in the market and violating Part 1, Art. 10 of Law on Protection of Competition.
