Over 52 hectares of land to be allocated for roses in Penza region

Penza, 1 March 2013. PenzaNews. Implementation of Russia’s largest floriculture project according to which 52,5 hectares of land is planned to be allocated for new plantations, may be started in the Penza region this year. This was stated by the head of the region Vasily Bochkarev during his visit to rosary in village Issa. According to Vasily Bochkarev, the Penza region has a great potential in the development of floriculture, and if production increases, it can sell roses to other regions of the country.

However, the governor said that the development of cost-effective projects in floriculture needs a clear system of cooperation between the government, business, academia, and banks.

“The projects should pay off and meet modern market requirements. To develop and implement these projects we need to attract foreign experts and use advanced technology of the countries setting the development vector of floriculture,” the press service of the government quoted Vasily Bochkarev.
