Penza, 12 March 2013. PenzaNews. Airline “Tatarstan” won the tender for inter-regional passenger transportation in the Volga Federal District — between Penza, Perm, Kazan, Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Orenburg, Samara and Ufa.

According to newspaper “Kommersant,” a contract with the Federal Air Transport Agency will be signed in the nearest future.

As the news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, in 2013, a pilot project for the development of the regional passenger aviation in the Volga Federal District was launched. 300 million rubles are to be allocated for this purpose.

The pilot project includes the routes, which passenger traffic has been estimated to be sufficient to fulfill at least one flight per week with 75% load.

The air fare of economy class seats including VAT shall not exceed pre-established limits on the routes: Penza — Kazan 3,310 rubles, Penza — Kirov 6,131 rubles, Penza — Nizhny Novgorod 3,093 rubles, Penza — Orenburg 6,348 rubles, Penza — Perm 7,053 rubles, Penza — Samara 2,984 rubles, Penza — Ufa 6,294 rubles.
