Penza, 19 March 2013. PenzaNews. Two business-incubators of production office type with total area of 14 thousand square meters will be established in the Penza region in 2013–2014.

As the department of innovation policy and special programs of the regional government told news agency “PenzaNews,” one business-incubator will be located in Penza in Lenina St, 6, and the other one — in Kuznetsk in Belinsky St, 8A.

“The business incubator in Penza will major in engineering, metalwork, souvenir production. It will be the starting point and the “filter” of projects for implementation in “Yablochkov” technology park. Interaction of such business-incubator with the technology park will manage the flow of innovative projects and their subsequent commercialization,” the department noted, adding that the opening is scheduled for June 2013.

The department also informed that business incubator in Kuznetsk will specialize in furniture and textile manufacturing, science of materials, modeling and design.

“In 2013, an application with a request to equip business-incubators will be sent to the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia. The scheduled opening date is the first quarter of 2014,” the department noted, emphasizing that the total area of business-incubators of the Penza region after putting in operation the mentioned projects will increase by 44%, and make 45,818 square meters.

“Moreover, at least 600 new jobs for small and medium businesses, including innovative companies, are planned to be set up,” summarized the department of innovation policy and special programs of the regional government.
