Rostelekom starting commercial launch of 3G + network in Penza

Penza, 19 March 2013. PenzaNews. CJSC “NCC” on behalf of Rostelekom has begun the commercial launch of the third-generation network 3G + in Penza.
As the press service of Penza branch of JSC “Rostelekom” reported to news agency “PenzaNews,” the new network will allow the subscribers to fully enjoy the new speed of mobile data transmission rate and to discover the Internet capabilities of their smartphones and tablets.
“3G + network by Rostelekom is arranged in Penza using modern HSPA + technology, which provides data transmission rates up to 21 Mbit/s with a possibility to increase it up to 42 Mbit/s. At first, 76 stations will be put in operation,” the company explained.
The press service noted that in the first days after the launch Penza Internet traffic increased significantly.
“The company is setting up third-generation mobile network in 27 regions of Russia. All in all, over 8 thousand base stations are scheduled to be installed. Suppliers of equipment and solutions for 3G + network are Ericsson and Huawei,” the agency interlocutor emphasized.
