Penza region ranks first by number of business-incubators in Russia

Penza, 19 March 2013. PenzaNews. The Penza region ranks first among other regions of Russia by the number of business-incubators. This was announced by the department of innovation policy and special programs of the regional government on Tuesday, March 19.
“At present, there are 36 business-incubators — 11 regional, 25 municipal, and six of those were opened in 2012,” the department told news agency “PenzaNews.”.
The agency interlocutor specified that currently the total area of business incubators of the Penza region amounts to 31,765 square meters.
“According to this index, the region takes the first place among the regions of the Volga Federal District. The territory of business-incubators for small and medium businesses is the largest in the county. It amounts to 2,49 square meters of total area, or 1,15 square meters of usable area of incubators per one business entity, which is seven times higher than the average index in the Volga Federal District,” the department added, emphasizing that last year the positive dynamics of increasing of the number of residents and leased working places remained the same.
Business-incubator is an organization, which solves the problems caused by the challenges faced by small companies, or entrepreneurs-beginner, who cannot afford starting their own business.
