Penza, 18 April 2013. PenzaNews. The opening ceremony of the exposition of innovative projects in the medical industry, organized as a part of the III Inter-regional Forum “Innomed-2013” was held in Penza regional library named after M. Lermontov on Thursday evening, April 18. Addressing the participants of the event, the Governor Vasily Bochkarev said that the forum is held in Penza, first of all, in order to give an opportunity for the representatives of the government and business to find common ground.

“Today we shape the future of Russia and we must do everything possible to save the most valuable thing a man can have - life. There were people here who have ideas and who know how to implement them, in spite of the difficult economic conditions. I am sure that “Innomed-2013” will be an effective platform for your innovative projects,” he said.

In turn, the executive vice-president of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Viktor Cherepov pointed out that the forum allowed him to see the potential of the Penza region in the field of medical technology.

“I saw that the region has great potential and has already implemented some promising projects, which are scheduled only beginning to be considered at the federal level. I believe that the experience of the Penza region may serve an example for other regions of Russia,” he stressed.

After the official part governor Vasily Bochkarev and the guests observed the exposition consisting of over 100 innovation projects and high-tech medical devices, over 40 of which have been developed in the Penza region.

In particular, the governor stopped by the booth of JSC “MedInzh” which has worldwide recognition. Director General Sergey Evdokimov introduced the head of the region to the group of products for heart valve replacement and replacement of defect of major vessels.

Commenting on the regional technopark presented at the exposition, the first stage of which is scheduled to be put in operation in Penza in June 2013, Vasily Bochkarev highly appreciated the fact that the institution will work in close connection with the industrial park.

“This will enable a comprehensive approach to the construction process from the very project to its marketing,” he said.

Also of great interest to visitors of the exposition were mobile dental clinics and mobile units of blood sampling present by JSC “Radiozavod,” hoover-disinfector by Penza State University, the system for remote multi-diagnostics of patients with postural deficiency developed by LLC “Biotehsistemy,” dental implants with improved osteintegration prepared by JSC “Scientific Research Institute of electro-mechanical devices” and a number of other projects.

As a part of the exposition “Innomed-2013” the representatives of major health-care companies, research centers, and innovative companies signed agreements and letters of intent.

Assessing the first working day of the Inter-regional Forum, the governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev stressed the importance of its practical orientation.

“The most important thing is that we have managed to gathered new projects that are real and exist not on paper only,” the head of the region concluded.
