Penza, 6 May 2013. PenzaNews. According to the press service of the Russian Ministry of Education, the average salary of teachers in pre-school educational institutions of the Penza region amounted to 14,695 rubles in the first quarter of 2013.

The ministry clarified that, according to preliminary data, the average salary in the region for the same period of time amounted to 18,333 rubles.

“The Federal State Statistics Service reported that the average salary was 18,138 rubles in January, and 17,809 rubles — in February. In March, according to the Ministry of Education of Russia, the average salary amounted to 19,051 rubles in the Penza region,” the press service added.

The ministry also stated that in the first quarter of 2013 the average salary of teachers in pre-school educational institutions exceeded the average salary in general education in the region by 6,9%.

“In Russia, in the first three months of the current year, the average salary of teachers in pre-school educational institutions amounted to 20,558 rubles,” the ministry summed up.
