Penza, 28 May 2013. PenzaNews. Around 40% of federal funds allocated for the implementation of long-term target programs, operating in the Penza region remain undeveloped. This was reported by the Minister of Economy of the region Olesya Safonova during a meeting with reporters on Tuesday, May 28. “Only 61% of the federal funds are developed, while the regional numbers are higher,” she said.

According to preliminary estimates, one of the long-term programs aimed at preparing for the celebration of the 350th anniversary of Penza revealed itself as ineffective.
“We planned to achieve a number of indices in 2011 and 2012. The final evaluation of the program will be made in 2013, when new facilities and roads are to be put in operation,” Olesya Safonova explained.
She also expressed confidence that by the end of this year, the program still has a chance to be recognized as effective.
“Satisfactory evaluation lacks some hundredths. The situation is not too bad — development continues,” the Minister of Economy of the Penza region concluded.
