Penza, 4 June 2013. PenzaNews. The number of unemployed people registered in the employment services of the Penza region amount to over 6,520. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Demography of the region on Tuesday, June 4.

The department explained that the number of unemployed has decreased by 304 people since the beginning of the year.

“The unemployment rate is 0,94% of economically active population of the region. Compared to the same period last year, the number of unemployed reduced by 1,141 people,” the press service added.

The department also specified that, as of June 1, enterprises and organizations of the Penza region declared 16,6 thousand vacancies, including 13 thousand in working professions.

“The intensity of the labor market, which characterizes supply and demand of labor is 0,42 person per vacancy,” the department noted.
