Penza, 19 July 2013. PenzaNews. The number of MTS – NYSE: MBT digital TV subscribers in the Volga Federal District since the beginning of 2013 has increased by 3 times.

“Since the beginning of this year, about 75% of the total number of cable TV subscribers of MTS is digital. The most active subscribers of digital TV of MTS live in the Nizhny Novgorod region and the Udmurt Republic, where their number increased by 4 times from January to July 2013. In Tatarstan, 45% of the total number of subscribers watch digital TV, as of the end of June of this year,” said the Director of MTS in the Volga Federal District Andrey Revkov.

He added that, the subscribers of the Volga Federal District have opportunity to watch over 150 channels, including 21 HD channels.

The agency interlocutor explained that digital broadcasting from MTS in the Volga Federal District is available in 8 regions: the Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Saratov, Ulyanovsk, Penza regions, and in Tatarstan and Udmurtia. Mari El Republic is currently testing the digital TV.
