Penza, 2 October 2013. PenzaNews. The sovereign debt of the Penza region is 15 billion 528 million 749 thousand rubles as on 1 October 2013. This is official information from the region Ministry of Finance site. As the department reported, the sovereign debt has increased by almost 2 billion rubles this year – as on 1 January 2013 it was 13 billion 541 million 780 thousand rubles.

The 14 billion line was crossed by June – the amount of the Penza region sovereign debt by that time was 14 billion 284 million 11 thousand rubles.

In accordance with the information published, starting from the beginning of the last year the sovereign debt has increased by more than 4,89 billion rubles – as on 1 January 2012 it was 10 billion 634 million 259 thousand rubles.

On 27 August 2013, members of the Penza Legislative Assembly amended the budget law and established main budget characteristics for 2013 and the planning period of 2014–2015.

In particular, in the current year the planned total amount of income is estimated to be 48 billion 345 million 611,8 thousand rubles; the total amount of spending – 47 billion 318 million 889,7 thousand rubles; the region government reserve fund spending – 15 million rubles; the top limit of the Penza region sovereign debt as on 1 January 2014 – 17 billion 576 million 799,3 thousand rubles.
